Ava Allemond Lewis, 88, of New Caney died at her home March 18, 2009.
She was a native of Gueydan, LA and formerly of the Winnie area. Ava moved to New Caney in 1972.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ava is survived by her daughter, Lillie Klapp and her husband, Ray of New Caney; son Lee Foreman of Houston; sisters, Hallie Phend of Hamshire, Rita Girouard of Lafayette, Frances Chaisson of Rayne; eight grandchildren, Terry Foreman, Blayne Foreman, Raeanne Tolson, Chuck Klapp, Deborah Kramer, Tammy McGee, Deanna Maichetti, Todd Klapp; great-grandchildren, Chad Klapp, Joshua Klapp, Jacob Klapp, Shelby McGee, Ethan McGee, Steven Tolson, Lee Tolson, Mikayla Tolson, Lucas Tolson, Derek Kramer, Dillon Kramer, Ben Foreman, Christina Foreman, Victoria Foreman, Trent Foreman; great-great-grandchildren, Austin Kramer, Logan Kramer, Landin Kramer and numerous family and friends.
