Hazel Marie Guidry, 76, of China, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
A native and lifelong resident of China, Hazel worked for Home Health Care.
Her parents, Martha and Edmond Manuel, Sr.; sisters, Charlene Deshotel and Pauline Savoy; brother, Howard Manuel, Sr.; and grandchild, Brian Sheffield preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Roger Guidry of Sour Lake and Sidney Guidry of Murray, Kentucky; daughters, Martha Sheffield of Highlands and Faye Guidry of Morgan City, Louisiana; brothers, Wilson Manuel, Edmond Manuel, Jr. and Amery Manuel; sisters, Anna Mae Boullion, Sally Barbee, Priscilla Bracewell and Mary Gaspard; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China with burial to follow at China Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at Broussard’s.
