Martin Edgar Vaughn, 78 of Hamshire, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Harbor Hospice.
A native of Port Arthur and resident of the area for many years, Martin retired from Gulf Oil Company after thirty three years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his three daughters, Dana Ann Eckles and her husband Doug of Seabrook, Ava Danielle Clary and her husband Tommy of Orange and Paula Colston and her husband Donnie of China; sisters, Corinne Popielarczyk and Rose Hudspeth, both of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Troy Eckles and his wife Michelle, Julie Zurek and her husband Jon, Cody Colston and his wife Heather, Stacy Day and her husband Chris, Amy McIlwain and her husband Randy; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and his sister, Cora Forey.
A funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m. February 25, 2009 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with cremation to follow under the direction of Broussard’s 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
