Danny Ray Coombs, 50, of Pasadena and formerly of Nederland died Friday, February 6, 2009 in Pasadena.
A memorial service will be 7 pm, Friday, February 13, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Nederland under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 6 pm until time of service at the church. Graveside service will be Thursday, February 12th in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Danny was a native of Groton, Connecticut and currently lived in the Houston area. He was a chemist and worked in the mineral inspection industry.
He is survived by his son, Travis Coombs and daughters, Susan, Katelyn and Keeley Coombs all of Nederland; his parents, Wilbur and Jane Coombs of Conway, North Carolina; brother David Coombs and wife Cindy; aunt, Louise Stafford of Goldsboro, North Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Coombs.
