Robert Keith Koelemay, age 43, went home to be with Jesus on February 1, 2009 from Oak Bend Hospital in Richmond, Texas. Born July 19, 1965, with many medical problems, Keith outlived his life expectancy by many years. He received excellent care and training from Richmond State School, living there for forty years. He was a happy soul who loved others and music. His favorite song was “Jesus Loves Me”, which he learned by hearing it every time his mother rocked him to sleep. Keith was loved by everyone he met and always had a smile. He loved to rock and was often referred to as the “rocking chair man”.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. at the China Cemetery.
Keith leaves to grieve his father and mother, Glen and Amber Koelemay, as well as two brothers, Mark Koelemay and his wife, Carol of Winnie, Breck Koelemay and his wife, Pam of Lake Jackson; sister, Cindy Koelemay Bostwick and her husband, Greg of Winnie; two nephews, Lucas Bostwick and Michael Koelemay of Winnie; three nieces, Shannon Koelemay of Lake Jackson, Lilia Koelemay of Winnie, Alyssa Koelemay of Lake Jackson; as well as other loving relatives and friends. Keith will be missed more than words can express but we have the assurance that we will see him again, made whole and perfect.
