Rebecca Rhodes, 60, of Silsbee died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Pine Arbor Health Care Center in Silsbee.
A native of Vidor, Rebecca was a lifelong resident of the area and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, David Rhodes and wife Bobbi of Colorado, Katharine Reeves and husband Kevin of Silsbee, and Leslie Rhodes of Buna; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; mother Sarah Cherry of Buna; brothers, Walter Cherry and wife Tina of Greenville, John Cherry of Tyler, Mickey Cherry and wife Connie of Buna, and Joe Cherry and wife Janet of Buna; sisters, Ann Flanakin and husband Rusty of Silsbee, Laura Luxton and husband Sam of Dallas, Janice Bevil and husband Reverend Kendal of Jasper, and Sarah Weed of Washington.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her husband, David Rhodes; and father, Leon Cherry.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at Hooks Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, January 27, 2009 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
