Luvina Kathryn “Cat” Hollyfield Rowles, 71, of Silsbee died Friday, January 23, 2009 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
Kathryn was a lifelong resident of Silsbee and a full time mother.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis Rowles Philbrick of Beaumont, Robert Russell Rowles of Silsbee, Karen “Kutchie” Nason of Kirbyville, and Mario Gonzales and wife April of Silsbee; grandchildren, Amanda Blythe, Sunny McKean, Stacy Blythe. Ashleigh Philbrick, Mario Gonzales, Jr., Michael Gonzales, Trevor Gonzales, Braydon Gonzales, and Gracyn Gonzales; great grandchildren, Mark McKean, Marquise McLaurin, Jace Warren, Ariaunna Clay, Antonius Arline, Jr., Ayden McKean, D.J. Ramsey, and Kayleigh Eaglin; brother and sisters, Dorothy May Cowart, Joy Marie Torres, and Robert Stanley Hollyfield all of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, William Stanley and Rannie Lou Hollyfield; sister Mary Lou Perrio; and brothers, Sonny Hollyfield and Hannon Hollyfield.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 26, 2009 at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at Frank’s Branch Cemetery in Fred. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
