Corinne Hickman, 69, of Nederland died, Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 24, 2009 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Rev. Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday with a scriptural rosary to be recited at 6 PM at the mortuary.
Mrs. Hickman was a native of Elgin, and lived in Nederland since 1966. She was a homemaker and also worked in the receiving department for Wal-Mart for 6 years. Mrs. Hickman is a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland where she was past president and member of the Altar Society.
Mrs. Hickman is survived by her husband, Roy Hickman of Nederland; her daughter, Dorraine Smith and husband, Thomas of Groves; her son, Dwayne Hickman and wife Julie also of Groves; her sister, Kathy Chavis of Sacramento, California; her brother, John Morris of Calabasas, California; two granddaughters, Ashley Hinkle, and Harley Smith; her grandson, Brayden Hickman, and great grandson, Urijah Skelton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Charles Alter Society or to the Scleroderma Foundation Texas, Blue Bonnet Chapter, P.O. Box 1836, Allen, Texas 75013.
