Robert Ray was my granfather's(Elzie) brother, my dad's (Donald) uncle. I knew him from family reunions, pictures in old photo albums and stories around the grandpa's supper table. I believe he was a comfort to my dad after grandpa passed away and I wish I could thank him for that. I was so sad to hear about Robert Ray. I hope you can take comfort in thinking about the joyful family reunion that must have taken place in Heaven on that day.

Dear Aunt Elmina and Rae,
Bless you in your time of loss. May you find comfort in friends and family and your faith.
I am blessed to have been born into the Wedgeworth family and to have had an Uncle Robert Ray. Although I only saw him at reunions and some holidays, I knew that he was part of a family in which I could feel secure and supported. When I was growing up I felt proud when I thought of Uncle Robert. I felt these things, but I did not know them. Now that I am sixty-one, I understand and I am forever grateful.
I wonder at all the things that Uncle Robert must have known.
I am glad that he had those eighty-three years to become who he was: a
caring and generous man.
