Carl Whitehead, Sr., 73, of Hamshire died January 6, 2009 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Carl had lived all his life in the Hamshire area and worked in the oilfields.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Broussard’s Chapel in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Carl is survived by his sons, Carl “Corky” Whitehead, Jr. and his wife Monica of Winnie, Sidro Mendoza of Kemah; daughters, Michelle Duhon and her husband, Adolph of Hamshire, Rhonda Meguess and her husband, Kendall of Fannett; brothers, Jim Allen and his wife, Carolyn of Fannett, Toby Whitehead of Houston; sister, Brenda Holt and her husband, Charles of Shreveport; grandchildren, Jacy Meguess, Scott Meguess, Augustine Castro, Jenna Castro, Brittany Bricker, Joseph Navarre, Russell Navarre, Shelby Navarre, Jessica LeJune, Blake LeJune, Bryce LeJune and great-granddaughter, Ava Clary.
