Helen Marie Schaffer, 74, of Orange died December 29, 2008 in Lumberton. Helen was born February 12, 1934 to Carl Anthony and Helen Gould (Grant) Fritsch in Scranton, Pennsylvania. A resident of Orange for six years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Bonny O’Toole of Orange, Robert Ross of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Linda Feres of Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandchildren, Shannon Aldridge, Shawn O’Toole, Heather Reed, Kayley O’Toole, Ryan O’Toole, Ainslie O’Toole,Tiffany Ripley, Lindsey Berard, Chelsea Ross, and Emily Ross; and great-grandchildren, Christian Reed, Caden Reed, Ashley Aldridge, Jacob Aldridge, Jessica Aldridge, Caden, Kyle, Cassidi, and Sophia. She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Ross.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Holloman-Brown Indian River Chapel, 6568 Indian River Road Virginia Beach, Virginia.
