Joyce Margaret Aldridge Adams, 81 of Nederland passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Rev. David Placette officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, 5:00-8:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 6 PM at the mortuary.
Mrs. Adams was a native of Beaumont and has lived in Nederland since 1955. She retired from Sommers Drugstore in Beaumont as an office manager. Mrs. Adams graduated from St. Anthony High School in Beaumont and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.
She was preceded in death by her brother Frank Aldridge Jr.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband of 62 years Al Adams of Nederland; two daughters, Malinda Nicholas and husband Ray of Meadows Place, Shirley Adams of Montgomery; son, Beecher Adams and wife Kathy of Nederland; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Griffin and husband Brent, Keary Nicholas, Keith Nicholas and wife Erin, Kevin Nicholas, Kent Nicholas, Daniel Adams, Dana Adams; five great grandchildren, Meghan, McKenna, Alexis, Alec and Alyssa and many family and friends.
