Leona Allen, 95, of Hamshire died December 11, 2008 at the Arboretum of Winnie.
Mrs. Allen was a native of Lovelady, TX, and had lived in the Hamshire area since 1946. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamshire.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2008 at Broussard’s Chapel in Winnie with burial to follow in Landrum Cemetery in Fannett. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her sons, Carl Whitehead of Hamshire, Toby Whitehead of Houston, Jim Allen and his wife, Carolyn of Hamshire; daughter, Brenda Holt and her husband, Charles of Shreveport; sister, Merle Sausley of Houston and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
