Clifford “C. C.” Calvin Laurent, 82, of Silsbee died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Silsbee Oaks in Silsbee.
C. C. was a lifelong resident of Silsbee and was a logger. He also served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry Don Laurent and wife Tammy of Fred, David Laurent and wife Kim of Moore, Oklahoma, and Kenneth Laurent of Lufkin; grandchildren, Angel Laurent, Jerry Laurent, and Montana Laurent all of Fred; great grandchildren, Tyler Bergeron and Tate Laurent; sister, Ferrell Crain; and brother, Ray Laurent.
C. C. is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Roberta Laurent; son, Calvin Laurent; brothers, Richard Laurent and Buddy Laurent; sisters, Thelma Ussery, Ruth Ward, and Ruby Hughes.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2008 at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at Cunningham Cemetery in Silsbee. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
