Laurence Miller, 79, of Rose City died Friday, January 16, 2004 at Spring Seasons Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A Christian Vigil will be 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the mortuary.
A native of Iota, Louisiana, he lived in Beaumont most of his life and was a member of the carpenter’s local.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Miller of Rose City; daughters, Beatrice Smith of Beaumont, Grace McCown and her husband, Dale of Fannett and Linda Durmon and her husband, David of Rose City; brothers, Leon Miller of Shepard and John Miller of Kountze; sisterS, Eda Robins of Beaumont and Eva Landry of Houston; grandchildren, David Smith, John Smith, Melinda Smith, Dale McCown, Jr., Donald Wayne McCown, Lee Durmon and Laurence Lynn Durmon; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Lauren Smith, Cheyenne McCown, Hunter McCown, Michael Dale McCown, Kristen McCown, Dylan McCown and Celeste Durmon.
