Gerald “T-Bone” Drake, 82 of Kountze died December 3, 2008 at his residence. Gerald was born August 31, 1926 in Village Mills to Y.D. and Nellie (Burns) Drake. A lifelong resident of the Kountze area, he was the retired owner of Drake’s Drive In in Kountze.
He is survived by his children, Ricky Drake and his wife Donna of Kountze, Gerry Drake and his wife Kitty of Houston and Cindy Smith and her husband Lawrence of Silsbee; sisters, Virginia Safar of Vidor and Jimmie Lee Ebarb of Lampassas, Texas; grandchildren, Josh Drake, Jordan Drake, Trey Drake, Micah Drake, David Drake, Brian Drake, Adam Drake, and Ashley Bloodworth; and numerous great-grandchildren and other friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his son, Randy Drake.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze with Reverend Steven Caraway officiating under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.
