May the good Lord strengthen Gloria Nell, Susan and family.
I love you all and eventhough the years have gone by, I will always remember the good old days... when Nanny would take Joellen and me to visit yall or you girls would come over to Nannys. She loved all her nieces and nephews. When I saw the picture of Doug I could see the family resemblence, how he and my father, Bobby, favored each other. It is not surprising that he followed Mary so soon, they belong together.
I was in Hawaii on vacation when Mary passed and now I am in Florida at my daughter's home. So sorry I will not be at the service. What a beautiful tribute from Jamie, he will always live in her heart.
God bless you,
Cousin Charlotte

I will miss you PaPa. Jason and I were spoiled by you and MaMa. I remember Deleware Punch snowcones made from ice out of the railroad ice car. I think they were more special because of the way you made them. Not to mention that we were "special" and got to toot the engine's horn. Same goes for the chocolate milk and "flap jacks" for breakfast - they were always the perfect size! And before you served them up you would say "first you make the roux". Of course, you said that when you made anything. I loved living beside ya'll. You were the perfect neighbors...always an open door and a welcoming smile. You blessed us greatly. We learned a lot from you...patience, generosity...just do what is right. I wish I could remember everything you told me. You were like a walking encyclopedia. Thank you for being such a positive influence in our lives. I hope others will recognize you in us.
Take care of MaMa, like you always have. I know she was waiting on you. We love you both.

Jamie, Nathan and Hanah
