Jacob Nathaniel Langston, 17, of Kountze passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Jacob was born on September 13, 1991 in Beaumont, Texas to Michael Shane and Tammy Gail (Whitaker) Langston. A lifelong resident of Kountze, Jacob was a Junior at Kountze High School. Jacob was a beautiful soul and we should have known that God was not going to let us keep him for very long. He loved his friends and family and would fight anyone tooth and nail for them. He loved his guitar, music and his beloved 1989 Mustang. For the six months that it took for him, his paw-paw and step-dad to restore it, that boy lived, breathed, slept and ate Mustang. I don’t know how the paint didn’t get washed off, because he washed that car every day.
Jacob was greeted in Heaven by his hero and great grandfather, J. D. Foret. He is survived by his mother Tammy and step-father Joseph, and his brother and best buddy Julian Silvestrini all of Kountze; his father, Michael Langston of Lumberton; sister, Michaela and brothers, Hayden and Weston Langston of Chester; Grandparents Norval and Linda Martin and Great Grandmother, Brucelle Foret all of Kountze; grandfather Salim Makdsi of Beaumont; grandparents Joe-Bill and Ada Langston of Lumberton; uncles, John Whitaker and wife P-Nut of Kountze, Chuck Whitaker and wife Annette of Sour Lake, Nick Martin and wife Brandy of Bridge City, James Makdsi of Beaumont, Stacy Langston and wife Robin of Vidor, Greg Langston and wife Tonya of Silsbee, Scotty Langston of Lumberton; aunts, Tracy Helling and husband Scott of Tampa, Florida, Jessica and Joanna Makdsi of Beaumont as well as numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 1, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Lumberton with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s in Kountze. I will forever miss and love my boy. And as big as the hole is in my heart, I know that his friends will feel the loss just as greatly as I do. Rest in peace my sweet angel boy and may God bless and keep you wrapped in his loving arms until we meet again. MOM
