Billie Jean Bryant, 74, of Kountze died Thursday, November 20, 2008 in Kountze. Billie Jean was born June 14, 1934 to William Everett and Mae (Rasberry) Mills in Carmona, Texas. A resident of Kountze since 1968, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Linda Penland and husband Joe, Gary Bryant and wife Pam, and Debbie Griffin and husband Mike all of Kountze; sisters, Diane Lathan and June Sweeten both of Cleveland, Texas; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Ross D. Bryant; and brother, Charles Mills.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with Reverend Tony Thornton officiating. Burial will follow at Colmesneil Cemetery in Colmesneil. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, November 21, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
