Sherrell L. Conkle, 86 of Port Arthur passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Gulf Health Care Nursing Home in Port Arthur, following a short illness.
A celebration of her life will be 2:30 PM, Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland, with interment following at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday 12:30-2:00 PM at the mortuary.
Mrs. Conkle was a native of Port Arthur and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie C. Conkle and son, Charles Conkle. Mrs. Conkle is survived by her two daughters, Linda Meshell of Beaumont, Christine McClendon and husband Fred of Kirbyville; three sons, Kenneth Larry Conkle and wife Janis of Port Neches, Curtis Conkle of Conroe, Thomas “Spanky” Conkle of Beaumont; fifteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and a host of friends.
