I will miss my grandmother always. I am her first grandchild and I learned so much from this very special chistian lady. She was the best cook, and she taught me so much. I loved to go to church with her and listen to her sing. I still can hear her wonderful voice in my head when I sing in church. We always had and enjoyed very personal talks on her back porch swing and when we did dishes together after the big family dinners. Where she always fixed my fav.veggies fried squash and oakra. I love her,and will miss her physical presence, but she is forever in my heart.

Precious Memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you Mevelyn and Kay Kay and Larry and Jerry, and the rest of the family. I remember as a child all the visits at Grandma's and Grandpa's and the reunions.

Childhood memories of Aunt Evelyn are that besides being very tall, she always seemed to have a smile on her face and a kind word for people. Her faith in God shined through her kindness. May all who knew her have peace in the fact that she is where she always wanted to be, with God.
