Zack R. Lucas, Sr., 73, of Vidor died Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born December 22, 1934 in Sicily Island, Louisiana to the late John and Mary Lucas. Zack retired from the Local 450, where he worked for thirty-two years.
He is survived by his loving wife who stood by his side for fifty-two years, Ethylene C. Lucas of Vidor; children, Carolyn Mercer, Brenda Lucas and Zack R. Lucas, Jr.; grandchildren, SSG. John B. Vandewater, Jr., Robert Vandewater, Candace Robson, Kristina, Travis Dyson, Megan Lucas and Karlee Lucas; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Robson, Haylie Robson and Eli Vandewater; also brother of Susie Bridges, Julius Lucas. Zack was preceded in death by, Willie, Cecil, Edward, Katherine, Evelyn Lucas and Alice Lackey.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday evening November 10, 2008 at the mortuary.
