Preston Eugene Williford, 69, of Warren died Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. Preston was born December 26, 1938 to Chester and Ella Neal (Carson) Williford in Honey Island. A resident of Warren for twenty-five years, he was employed at Pallet Mill in Evadale and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his sisters, Elaine Wallet and husband Lonnie of Village Mills and Shirley Williford of Bakersfield, California; and step-son, Jesse DeWayne Powers of Louisiana; and brother-in-law, John Powers and wife Molly of Vidor.
Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 22, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Village Mills with Reverend Ken DeRouen officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.
