R. Allen Guy, 53, of Kountze died Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. Allen was born July 18, 1955 to Raymond Allen and Reba (Garner) Guy, Sr. in Bryan, Texas. A resident of Kountze for the last three years, he was a self-employed licensed air conditioning technician. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kountze. Allen loved hunting, fishing, cooking, and golfing. He left too soon and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Reba Guy Deaton of Kountze; children, Weston Allen Guy of Kountze and Hunter Wade Guy of Lubbock; brother, Richard Wade Guy of Kountze; sisters, Cynthia Rae Guy of Streetman, Texas and Linda Robin Guy of Denver, Colorado; half sister, Rebecca Ellen Guy of Austin; and significant other, Martha Susie Brown of Kountze. He is preceded in death by his father.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 7, 2008 at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with Reverend Bill Jobe officiating. Burial will follow at William Hart Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the mortuary.
