Rose Eagleson, 87, of Beaumont, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
She was born May 8, 1921 to John and Mary Celeste. Losing her parents at an early age, Rose lived with an aunt in Port Arthur and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Rose was an avid bowler. In younger days she enjoyed her garden and took pride in preserving her vegetables. She crocheted warm booties for her friends. Whatever was her current activity, she did it wholeheartedly. Her peanut brittle was legendary. She loved making it and distributing the "good stuff" to all her friends.
Rose is survived by adopted son, John McCurley of New York; one sister, Sarah Accardo of Beaumont; one granddaughter, Joey Lynn Milazzo; great grandsons, Christopher Richard and Dylan Milazzo; and one great- great grandchild.
