Lucy Elizabeth “Betty” Smart Sageman
Lucy Elizabeth “Betty” Smart Sageman, 92 of Beaumont died Thursday, July 15, 2004 at the Hospice of Texas Medical Center in Houston. Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Beaumont, with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her friends will be from 10 – 11 AM Tuesday morning at the church.
A native of Willoughby, Ohio, Mrs. Sageman married George Sageman on April 28, 1956. She followed him and his work in refineries all over the world before retiring in Beaumont in 1977. Mr. Sageman predeceased her on February 2, 2002.
Mrs. Sageman is survived by her nieces and nephews; Nancy Horton and her husband Robert of Cleveland, Ohio, Barbara Helms of Cleveland, Ohio, Roger E. Smart and his wife Crystal of Madison, Ohio, Helen and Richard Messal of Longwood, Florida; great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
