Paul M. “Sleepy” Schiesler, 78, of Vidor, died October 23, 2008 at Harbor Hospice.
Born in Beaumont, Paul was a lifelong resident of the Southeast Texas area and was the oldest of ten children of Henry and Edna Schiesler. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked for PPG and was a rice farmer.
He is survived by his brother, Pat Schiesler of Vidor; sisters, Mildred Hill and Margaret Root both of Silsbee, and Edna Gass of Montalea; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be 4:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 25, at the Mortuary.
