Nancy Lynn Beaumont passed from her earthly life into her heavenly home on October 15, 2008, at the age of 55, after a valiant battle with cancer.

She was born on June 28, 1953 to Jack and Henrietta Burns in Seattle, Washington. The family moved to Moses Lake, Washington where Nancy lived until she graduated from High School. She moved to Port Neches in June of 1971.

She met Lonnie Beaumont and they married on June 1, 1973. She is survived by her husband; Lonnie Beaumont, two sons; Blake Beaumont of Port Neches and Brian Beaumont of Houston; two granddaughters, Madeline and Addison; her parents, Jack and Henrietta Burns of Moses Lake, Washington, two sisters; Dixie Basel and husband Cary of Walla Walla, Washington; Patricia McBee and husband Steven of Kennewick, Washington; one brother, Reverend Ed Burns and wife Judy of Moses Lake, Washington; brother-in-law, Larry Beaumont and wife Anita of College Station, Texas, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dolleman and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Burns and parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Beaumont.

Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church, Port Neches, Texas, where in years past she worked with Acteens and children’s choir as well as serving on the Hospitality Committee. She loved children, working with special needs children at Van Buren Elementary School for many years, also doing Summer Recreation because the children needed a place to go for summer activities. She loved her family, her church, her special Sunday School department and class, the teachers she worked with and people in general.

A celebration of her life will take place at First Baptist Church, Port Neches on Saturday, October 18, 2008 with visitation from 9:30 until 11:00 am, followed by funeral services at 11:00 am under the direction of Broussard’ Mortuary with Dr. David Mahfouz officiating. Throughout her battle with cancer, the enemy tried to steal Nancy's faith, destroy her witness, and kill her hope, but he did not succeed! Throughout her long trial, she remained confident of who she was and whose she was. She was a witness to all who came in contact with her of her faith and confidence in Jesus. Like so many who knew and loved her, I miss seeing her smiling face and hearing her precious voice. Nancy fulfilled her calling and is the perfect example of "Well done, good and faithful servant." (Matt.25:21) She lives on in Heaven, and we will see her again.

Words can't say how much we will miss Nancy! She was a beautiful person inside and out. Her strong faith in God was a witness to all and we will kept her sweet spirit alive with us always. Sunday School won't be the same but what time we had with our precious Nancy will be in our hearts forever. My prayers are with you and your family. Debbie Bergstrom

Blake,
I didn't know your mother was ill, and am so sorry to hear of your family's loss. How ironic we both lost our loved ones on the same day, your Mom, and my Daughter. Yet you still took time to sign Jennifer's guest book, and I deeply appreciate it. My deepest sympathy. God has a plan for us all, and apparently our angels were needed more in heaven.
