Jean Davis Neely Potts, 89, of Beaumont, died October 14, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. A native of Macon, Georgia, Jean spent most of her life in the Beaumont area. She worked as an E.E.G. technician in the healthcare industry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; two brothers; first husband, Charles Neely; and youngest daughter, Cheryl Neely. She is survived by her husband, Harold Potts; daughter, Vivian A. Neely of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandsons, Charles W. Ervin and wife Phyllis of Covington, Louisiana, and Daniel E. Ervin and wife Renee of Denham Springs, Louisiana; and great-grandchildren, Zachary Ervin, Jared Ervin, and Danielle Ervin.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Mortuary.
