Mary Frances Sartin, 82, of Kountze died on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at The Arboretum of Winnie. Mary was born on August 15, 1926 in Alexandria, Louisiana to A.T. and Nell Tennessee (Knight) Morgan. She was a resident of the Kountze area most of her life and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
Mary is survived by her husband, Douglas Sartin of Winnie; her children, Gloria Armentor and husband Glen of Pasadena, Texas, Susan Isaac and husband William of Sour Lake; her sister, Gloria Bowie of Monroe, Louisiana; her brother, Joseph W. Morgan of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; her grandchildren, Jamie Laughlin and Jason Soileau; and her great grandchildren, Hannah Laughlin, Grant Soileau and Madison Soileau. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, A.T. Morgan, Jr.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Broussard’s Chapel in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 13, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the mortuary. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Mary’s name to Alzheimer’s Association 3195 Calder Avenue Suite 200 Beaumont, Texas 77702.
