Robert “June” Overstreet Jr., 76 of Nederland, passed away of Saturday, October 11, 2008 Christus St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Broussard's in Nederland, with reverend Joe Raiborn officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Simmons Cemetery in Big Sandy, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-8:00 pm at the mortuary.
June was a native of Big Sandy, Texas and lived most of is life in Nederland. He was retired from Pipe Fitter Local #105 in Nederland. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
June is survived by his son, Robert K. Overstreet and wife Tawana; daughter, Kathy Overstreet; stepdaughter, Vickie Passmore and husband Scott; grandchildren, Corey W. Kincaid, Kristi Porter and husband Aron; sister, Anna Burious Price and husband David; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
