Loucille Stott Scott, 90, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008. She was born in Peachtree, Texas on September 27, 1918, to William Abner Stott and Daisy Collier Stott. She enrolled in Jasper Public Schools, and graduated from there in 1937.

As anyone who knew Loucille would tell you, her hobby in life was her family. She took a great deal of pride in her roles as a homemaker and volunteer, and was very active in bridge clubs and service organizations throughout the Beaumont area. She loved to entertain and socialize with a host of friends and family.

The challenges over the past couple of years have been especially difficult for her. For years she devoted much of her life to the entertainment of her grandchildren, Jimmy and Jason. She loved the many friends that surrounded her life and made certain that they were never without her love and kindness.

Loucille leaves behind her loving husband of thirty-nine years, John Scott, Sr. of Beaumont; son, Dr. John Scott, Jr. of Keller; daughters, Patti Wolff and her husband James of Beaumont and Barbara Lee Graham of New Caney; grandson, Dr. James “Jimmy” Wolff and his wife Jennifer; and great grandson, Zachary Wolff all of California. Also left to treasure her memory is Theresa Zavodny; a host of nieces and nephews; and a multitude of lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving grandson, Jason Wolff; brothers, Arthur and Herbert Stott; four sisters, Lelia Engelbrecht, Beulah Oborski, Ruby Anderson and Helen Adams.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to caretakers, Beatrice, Maria, Theresa and nephew, Jim Stott and his wife Judy for their love, support and words of encouragement during this difficult time. And a special thank you to Billie and Dick Osborn for their continued support.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Bob Campbell, Jim Arthur Stott, Dick Osborn, Bob Harris, Frank Galiano and Bill Lucas serving as pallbearers. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Some Other Place, 1240 McFaddin, Beaumont, Texas 77701.
