Dear Troy and Elton, what I remember about your mother is her sweet spirit. She embodied a peace that is rare in our noisy world, and even though she lived through hard times, I never heard her complain. Nights spent sitting around your table, talking and laughing by the light of the kerosene lamp, are some of my fondest memories. Your mother's calm made her easy to be around. One word captures my experience of her: serene. I will miss her.
