Mrs. Purkey was like a second Mom to me. She gave me shelter when I was in need, she was my rock when my world began to crumble, she was my sunshine on a dark day, and most of all she was my wonderful, kind, loving and caring friend. I will miss our little talks every month or so, her laughter, her kind words and her motherly advice. I know I am but one who will miss her so sorely, but I wanted you all to know how very special she was to me. I wish you all peace and condolences at this time of great loss.

Sincerely,
G

I am so very sorry to see the death of Mrs. Purkey. She was my second grade teacher and was also a neighbor. She was a wonderful teacher that tried to teach all of her students the values and skills that we would use for the rest of our life. Your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
