Mary Louise Bearden, 83, of China, died Thursday, September 25, 2008. She was a native of Quitman and resident of China since 1972.
She enjoyed dancing, fishing and playing the slot machines. Mary was a member of China United Methodist Church in China.
Survivors include her son, Larry Davis and his wife Catherine of Riverside, California; grandchildren, Melissa Riley of Temecula, California, Anthony Davis and his wife Andrea of Moreno Valley, California and Joshua Bearden of Memphis, Tennessee; great grandchildren, Amanda Riley of Riverside, California, Chad Riley and Justin Riley both of Temecula, California and Nyomi Davis of Moreno Valley, California and sisters, Sue Gatewood of Quitman, Josephine Colletti of Bridge City and Maudine McCraw of Baytown.
Her husband, Alfred Bearden; and her son, Vance Bearden preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at China United Methodist Church in China under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the church. Cremation arrangements are handled by Broussard’s.
