John Benjamin James, 90, of Kountze died September 1, 2008 at Hospice in the Pines in Lufkin. John was born February 22, 1918 to Frank and Mary (McDougle) James in Hastings, Oklahoma. Having lived most of his life in Dallas, he resided in Kountze since 1992 and was a retired theatre operator.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Kathleen Wren James of Kountze. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John B. James, Jr., and four sisters.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 5, 2008 at Holland Cemetery in Kountze under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.
