Gladys Marion Campbell, 82, of Crystal Beach, died August 29, 2008 at the Arboretum. A native of Port Arthur, she resided in the Crystal Beach area for forty years.
She is survived by her long time companion, Jerome Valenta; sons, Gus Campbell of Vidor, and James Campbell of Crystal Beach; daughter, Thelma Barker of Winnie; brothers, Glenn Smith of Kirbyville, Robert Smith of Vidor, and Mickey Smith of Lumberton; grandchildren, Kristina Campbell, Joey Campbell III, Mariann Campbell, Kevin Walters, Daniel Barker, Samuel Barker IV, Michael Campbell, Marion Campbell, Bobby Campbell, Jamie Lynn Campbell, Amber Campbell, Angel Campbell, Sarah Campbell, and Katelyn Campbell; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Monday, September 1, 2008 at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer, Winnie, with burial to follow at Crystal Beach Cemetery.
