Gladys “GiGi” Rainey of Port Arthur, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
A brief gathering of family and friends is scheduled for 3:00 pm on Friday, August 22, 2008 at Broussard’s Crematorium, in Beaumont.
GiGi was a native of Steubenville, Ohio and has lived most of her adult life in Port Arthur, where she was employed by Holiday Inn as a night auditor. Having four children of her own, she was blessed with eleven grandchildren a one great grandchild all of whom she adored.
Surviving GiGi are her sons; Steven Rainey of Nederland, David Rainey and wife Teri of Orange, Scott Rainey of Nederland, daughter; Michelle Johns and husband Kendall of Nederland, eleven grandchildren; David, Jr., Matthew, Jacob, Kelci, Emily and Adam Rainey, Ryan and Jessica Williamson, Kaitlyn, Kaleb and Kailee Johns and one great grandchild; Cameryn Williamson. Also surviving GiGi are two sisters; Laura Greer of Washington D.C., Virginia Baliker of Weirton, West Virginia and one brother; Art Greer and wife Marti of Vienna, Virginia.
