Raymond “Ray” Cruthirds, 91, of Beaumont, died August 17, 2008 at Harbor Hospice. A lifelong resident of Beaumont, Ray was an operator for Union Oil and a United States Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joya Cruthirds and his parents, Hugh and Frances Cruthirds. He is survived by brothers, L.S. Cruthirds and wife Mildred of Kerrville, and Gayle Cruthirds of Lufkin; sister, Dorothy Farley of Lufkin; nephews, Rod Sistrunk and wife Debbie of Beaumont, Charles Sistrunk and wife Pattie of Beaumont, and Mac Sistrunk and wife Tania of Port Lavaca; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 18, 2008, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
