Deborah Joyce Thompson, 57, of Beaumont, died peacefully, Tuesday, August 12, 2008 with her family by her side. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont.
Deborah has loved Jehovah for most of her life. She was in the full time service for more than twenty years preaching the good news about His Kingdom by Christ Jesus. She loved Jehovah down to the very end of her life. We have an assurance that she will come back to us in the resurrection. That is a great comfort for us.
Deborah was also a substitute teacher for Beaumont Independent School District for more than twenty years. She was friendly, outgoing, and everybody loved her. As she suffered with cancer she never lost her spunk and enthusiasm for the truth. She was positive and encouraging even while in her body was slowly wasting away. Her husband Ben and many, many others will miss her. She appreciated the love that was shown to her and was thankful for all of you.
Her two brothers preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Ben Thompson of Beaumont; and sister, Sylvia Thompson of Tennessee.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
