William Leon Bryant, 81, of Nederland, died July 30, 2008 at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home. A native of Newton, Texas, Leon spent his adult life in the Beaumont area. He was a United States Navy veteran having served in World War II. He worked for Mid-City Motors as a mechanic and also as a driver for Rose City Sand.
Leon is preceded in death by his wife of forty years, Sadie Otto Bryant. He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Gilbert and husband Dennis of Mauriceville, and Margaret Bryant and partner JoAnn Jacobs of Nederland; grandchildren, Lori Northcott and husband Michael of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Christopher Gilbert and wife Melodie of Nederland; great-grandchildren, Justin Gilbert, Austin Northcott, and Jacob Northcott.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont, with burial to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2008, at the Mortuary.
