Eunice Mitchell Speed, 89, of Beaumont died Monday, July 28, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.
A native of Nicholson, Mississippi and a resident of Beaumont since 1961 Eunice had worked with First Christian Day School, Trinity United Methodist Day School, and Pinewood Day School.
Eunice is survived by her son, Howard Lynn Speed and his wife Gwen of Tomball; daughter, Nancy Speed Ridley and her husband Rick of Beaumont; brother, John Paul Mitchell and his wife Peggy of Irving; sister, Erma Caver of Pascagoula, Mississippi; grandchildren, Angela Netterville of Beaumont, Lauren Netterville of Houston, and Leslie McKeller of Houston.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Trinity United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at the mortuary.
