Susan Smith Sattler, 49 of Nederland, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at her residence.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Church On The Rock, located at 6355 S. Hwy 69, Beaumont with Reverend Ron Hammonds officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday at Broussard’s in Nederland.
Susan was a native of Jasper, TX, but lived most of her life in the Mid-County area and was a member of Church On The Rock and devout Christian. She was a long time beauty advisor for Lancome cosmetics at Dillard’s in Port Arthur. Susan used what little spare time she had trying to further her education and learning as much as she could about computers and today’s technology. She was devoted to her family and to all that loved and knew her.
Her father James “Smitty” Smith preceded her in death. Surviving Susan are her daughters, Jessica Reneé and Hannah Nicole Guidry; sons, Zachary Stephen and James Hunter Ray Guidry, all of Nederland; mother, Janice May and husband Curtis of Lumberton, TX.; sister, Judy Smith Harrison of Nederland, TX.; brother, Mark James Smith and wife Kimberly of Aledo, TX.; uncles, Jimmy Westbrook and wife Kay and David Westbrook and their families; nieces Jenifer Franks and husband Jason, Emily Smith; nephews Jacob Harrison, Logan, Gavin and Brandon Smith plus numerous family and a multitude of friends.
