I didn't know this site was here until now, so I'll post my comments now. Aunt Myrtle was a very devoted, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, mother in law, sister in law, friend and never met a stranger. She gave until she couldn't give anymore all throughout her life. She quit high school to care for her seven younger brothers and sisters and was like a second mother to her siblings. I truly cannot remember a time in my life that she couldn't make me smile even on my worst of days. My sister and I looked forward to our visits to their home near the beach in our younger years. She'd let us play in her make up...stay up all night playing monopoly...and ALWAYS had the best TREATS! I just can't imagine HOW we got so spoiled...(laughs) But she had a gift in knowing how to love and in making people laugh and was truly a blessing to anyone she met. I will always hold those memories in my heart and though she will be sorely missed....I know she's safe and not alone in heaven until we can all be together again....for she's walking hand in hand with Jesus Christ now and with those that have gone on before her. God Bless You!

Myrtle Lee,

You have always been my favorite aunt. The last time I spoke with you was on the phone from Nannie's house in March of 1988. We talked about how you and Gayle used to come to concerts here in Houston back in the 1960s (The Beatles, The Mamas & the Papas, etc.). I will always love you and you will be greatly missed!
