He was a golden font
that freely poured
What goldenly endures,
And though that font be gone,
its bounty stored
and treasured,
Still is yours.

The past is deathless.
Souls are wells too deep
To spend their purest gains.
All that he gave to you
is yours to keep

For love that cannot die

May you find peace and comfort with the memories in your heart as you mourn the loss of your loved one.

I didn't know Mr. Fertittta, however, I feel I must write and wish I had known how to contact you earlier to let you know of the extreme generosity he showed to my husband and his unit iin 1966. My husband was serving in Chu Lai, Vietnam , with the US Marines and he told me they couldn't get decent coffee. In turn he wrote to the Seaport Coffee Company (as he knew it) and inquired on what it would cost to have coffee shipped to them. The unit was willing to send the money if the company would ship the coffee to them.

The reply they got was one thanking them for their service to our Country and a case of Seaport Coffee. It is one thing my husband never forgot. The unit I'm told was grateful and sent a thank you to Mr. Fertitta.

My husband was not a coffee drinker when we married, however, when his mother became ill with cancer in 1998 he began drinking coffee and you guessed it, we bought Seaport. He never forgot the generosity or the thanks they received while in Vietnam.

My husband passed away in 2002, however, when I saw on the TV of the passing of Mr. Fertittia I couldn't let this unselfish act go by without thanking you for making such a meaningful gester to a unit of US Marines.

May you know that I offer my sincere condolensces on your loss and will remember your family in prayers.

Sincerely,

Vickie Styles
