Willie Ed “Bill” Poss, 93, Nederland, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Cypress Glen in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Broussard’s
in Nederland. Interment will follow at 3:30 in Antioch Cemetery in Carthage, TX under
the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 9:00am until service time at the mortuary.
Bill was a native of Carthage, TX and lived in Nederland since 1950. Bill retired from Unocal has an operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Nederland. Bill was preceded in death by his son, Billy Wayne Adams, four brothers, two sisters, and former wives, Edith Jewell and Zelma Poss.
Mr. Poss is survived by his wife, Bicy Poss of Nederland; son, John Poss and wife Linda of Pasadena, TX, daughters, Glenda Plumb and husband Jerry of Oregon City, OR, and Nancy Normand and husband Ike Estes of Sugar Land, TX; four step-daughters, Janet Tollefson and husband Wayne of Crystal Beach, TX, Raye Norwood and husband Jimmy of Silsbee, TX, Faye Martin and husband Jack of Hemphill, TX, Peggy Cowart an d husband Jerry of Nederland; and many other family and friends.
