Lucille Janette Measeles Gilmore, 93, of Winnie died July 21 at her residence.
A native of Nome, she had lived in the Winnie area most of her life. Lucille was the co-owner for twenty years of the Smart Shop’s in Winnie and Anahuac. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Winnie-Stowell.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Broussard’s Chapel with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 w. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Lucille is survived by her sister, Barbara James, a host of family and friends and was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Gilmore; sister, Zelma Mendenhall; and brother, Robert Measeles.
