Bruce Alexander Robins — In Loving Memory

Bruce Robins, 69, of Port Neches passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

A memorial service will be 6 pm Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Binks Horticulture Center at Tyrrell Park in Beaumont. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium.

Mr. Robins was a Seaman and Chief Engineer working on petroleum tankers for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Eva Robins of Port Neches; son, Kirk Robins and wife Brandi of Groves; daughters, Madison Sedtal of Nederland, Cathy Porter of Nederland and Diane Porter of McKinney; brother, Don Robins of Florida and 8 grandchildren.

For the small amount of time Mr. Robins was a member of my family at StatCare, I came to know him as one of our sweetest patients. I used to get so tickled with him. I would walk into his room and tell him hi, and he would answer hi. I would ask him if he was ready to go, and he would tell me no. Then my partners would tell him hi, and he would never answer them. They would get so flabbergasted that he had just spoken to me. He made me laugh every time I came for him. I hope that Mr. Robins is at Peace now, and pain free from the troubles of being elderly here on earth. God Speed to you Mr. Bruce, we will miss you.
