Hector “Cheuy” Garcia Jr. 37, of Port Arthur died Sunday, July 12, 2008 in Galveston.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. Thomas Welch officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at the mortuary.
Cheuy was a native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur and a member of the Gladtidings Assembly of God Church.
Cheuy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Olivia and Roberto Garcia, and his sister, Monica Govea Garcia. He is survived by his parents, Gloria M. and Hector Garcia Sr. of Port Arthur; two sisters, Elaina Garcia of Groves, and Laura Garcia of Port Arthur; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garcia of Port Arthur, and Lirio Medrano also of Port Arthur. Also several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
