Dorothy Mae Eaton, 79, of Sour Lake died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Dorothy was born in Beaumont on February 18, 1929 to Tom and Mettie (Davis) Shugart and was a lifelong resident of the area.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Ann Moye and husband David and Carol Davis of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Jody Langham, Cody Langham, Toby Langham, Dusty Duvall, and Joseph Duvall; great-grandchildren Aloni Walton, Gabby Walton, Willow Walton, Zoe Langham; and brothers Johnny Davis and Clarence Davis. She was preceeded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; and daughter, Jannell Duvall.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Broussard’s 530 West Monroe in Kountze with Rev. Leo Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the mortuary.
